B U T to address a serious issue...

I was eating lunch last week, and a young lady approached me and asked, "What kind of miracles?"... In the course of conversation, she related that she had been wanting her mother - who resided at the time outside the US - to be able to come here. And she had been wanting this for the past two years... I gave her an exercise to practice that it occurs to me I have not given to you.
She was not a student, had not seen the website- or been to any workshops, and was bold enough to come interrupt my lunch (Gloria in Excelsis Deo).. and asked me about what she perceived to be the need for something miraculous - since she had "been praying about" this for a while and had not yet met with success...
My counsel to her was to - In a phrase, "Nevillize it".
Now this phrase is from Joe Vitale's book, The Attractor Factor which anyone can acquire (did I mention you could read the rest of the pages on this website?)..
What does that mean?
.....That's what this page is about.
Neville Goddard (1905-1972) filled auditoriums and churches, and even had a radio and TV show in the middle of the last century with his teachings on assumptions.. or the exceedingly powerful aspect of mind accessed by assumption.
The short version is - (and this works, by the way) - that to manifest the miraculous, one must assume the desired outcome has already occurred, and FEEL what it feels like. This is done (because when you are in the process of accomplishing the miracle, it has not happened yet) via imagination.
Dr. Wayne Dyer expressed the concept by counseling that you, "See yourself surrounded by the conditions you want to produce." (yes, I recommend his writings as well).

Now this may well be difficult to comprehend - which is why I vociferously recommend you actually READ Neville - The Power of Awareness, Resurrection and other of his works are available at DeVorss Publications. And, if you've found this site, you have the requisite skills to find these books.
In the interim, suffice it to say, as did Einstein, "Imagination is more important than knowledge."
What I counseled the young lady to do was: Each night as you are drifting off to sleep, imagine meeting your mother and greeting her with a joy-filled hug, feeling happy and wonderful that she's finally made it here - basking in the wonder of her mom's presence finally realized right here in Houston.
To BRIEFLY (and I can't overemphasize this) visualize and feel the experience and feeling of joy on seeing her here, and the happy reunion that would be.
There is (I hope obviously) MORE to manifesting the miraculous - but "Nevilleizing" is a VERY powerful practice that will work (for anyone) IF (and only when) it is practiced repeatedly with patience and confident expectation of success.

Now this is all to be done with reverence and humility - without which it simply won't work.
To access the miraculous (it should be obvious) one must work with the Divine... else what is accomplished is not a miracle, but an outcome - as in, hit the ball with the bat and it goes away from the bat. Newtonian physics works, and we all see evidence of it every day. Quantum physics, on the other hand, and the Observer effect - we can have on matter and energy - is entirely different.
And the effectiveness of assumption, when fully understood and practiced, is as to Newtonian understanding as an elevator is to stairs. That is to say, "Stairs Work" - and are easy to believe in - because we've been steeped in physicality for decades - but the elevator works also - and with much less effort on the part of the one wanting elevation.

You'll find more of this in Book Two, and I seriously encourage you read Book One if you haven't already done so - since understanding is impossible without foundational knowledge.
- One can't appreciate a car's automatic transmission, for example, without understanding that shifting gears was once always done manually. BUT - with the requisite understanding, one may perceive an automatic transmission as more of a thing that simply has been developed - rather than a miracle that generates constant awe.
YES ! yes - I AM saying here, that things we humans formerly considered miraculous are "doable" ..and that we CAN accomplish miracles - when and as we engage Divinity - (which eagerly awaits our awakening, and maintains a constant state of readiness - to provide us the evidence - and only as we are ready to receive it - so as not to overwhelm us) so that we can begin to know experientially that we ARE, in fact, using the same processes as did Jesus the Christ of Nazareth.

Visualization works. ..but ONLY as it is used in accordance and harmony with the REST of the Laws of the Universe. Divinity / Source Energy / GOD ..is now, has always been, and will always be.
And I freely admit that the concept, "Ye are gods." is sobering, to say the least.
Are you the totality of GOD? Of course not. Are we children of GOD and heirs of the family characteristics and awesome Power of GOD? Yes.
And I freely admit this is a frightening concept to swallow. Just as is the idea that YOU are responsible for your life and life experience. BUT - My fellow I.M.D.s... you CAN manifest the miraculous... And you will - when and as you learn to "get in sync" with the Divine.
