Much of the understanding in the out of the blue books was gained via revisiting the teachings of the Holy Bible. When seen in accurate context, "modern" information such as quantum physics is not at odds with the teachings of the Christ of Nazareth.

Finding fault with a specific teacher or their message is no more difficult than finding fault with anything else. Even though criticized by some, many find the messages of Joel Osteen (and Lakewood Church in Houston) useful and encouraging.
In my opinion, one of Christ's essential messages was teaching forgiveness. In the information age there are a number of notable Christian teachers. As to those who choose to criticize them - or their messages,
I'll paraphrase our Elder Brother: Neither do I condemn them.
